Fairfax Campus
Mason offers a variety of ways to exploreÌýthe 677-acre Fairfax Campus, and you can select one that’s structured for you.
If the weather is questionable, check theÌýÌýfor inclement weather notices, or call our information phone line (703-993-1000). Sessions and tours will be canceled if the university is closed or if classes are canceled.Ìý
On-Campus and Virtual Visit Experiences
At Mason, we offer a wide variety of visit options including information sessions, tours, and more at various times throughout the week. These options include:
On-Campus Information Sessions & Tours: These visits consist of a 30-minute information session with an admissions staff member followed by an exploration of campus through either an Ambassador-led tour or a self-guided tour with a provided map.
We recommend allotting at least one hour and thirty minutes for your Ambassador-led tour or 45 minutes for your self-guided tour.
On-Campus Visit Experiences: For these visits, the primary focus is a guided campus tour with a current student, one of our Mason Ambassadors. It consists of a brief introduction, walking tour, and follow-up information session with an admissions staff member. We recommend allotting at least two hours for the engaging experience.
Honors College Information Sessions: The Honors College inspires students to pursue the most challenging and enriching educational and civic engagement opportunities while providing multidisciplinary learning opportunities that complement any major.
Academic College/ Major Specific Visits: Mason’s 10 colleges and schools offer 80 undergraduate degrees covering all academic areas, providing students the opportunity to craft their own course of study. These visits are specific to academic programs at Mason and consist of an information session followed by an Ambassador-led tour of facilities related to your program of choice. Ìýto determine whichÌýcollege houses your major, concentration, or minor of interest.
Virtual Visits: We welcome you to register for upcoming virtual information sessions and tours.ÌýUpon registering, you will be emailed the webinar access link from admissions@gmu.edu. We ask that you retain this link for your records.

Group Experiences for K-8th Grade and High School Groups and Organizations
We are pleased to offer group tour experiences throughout the academic year.ÌýÌýfor information about experiences for K-8th grade andÌýhigh school groups.
Please be sure to choose the request formÌýand contact information appropriate for the age of the students attending. For all group tours, the minimum group size is 20 students.
Graduate Students
Graduate schools, colleges, and institutes at Mason offer program-specific information sessions and events throughout the year. Please visitÌýÌýto find your program and learn more about opportunities to visit and connect.
Mason Square
Classes at this campus focus on graduate and professional programs. They include:

Science and Technology Campus (Manassas)

The Science and Technology Campus provides housing to graduate students atÌý. Prospective students can tour the building, and sometimes, apartments are open for viewing. ContactÌýBeacon HallÌýand let them know you'd like to look around.
